I've traveled around the world and I would have to say this place has the best ice cream. The scoops are humongous. The ice cream is perfect. Love it! Especially the lemon!!!

I came here thanks to a friend's recommendation. While I would've preferred to be able to sit down, the banana split that I ordered for take out was very delicious and made for a memorable eating experience.

Who doesn't love ice cream at Superior Dairy?! The servings are huge, so order accordingly. Between 10 and 20 of us drove to Hanford last week after a lunch Corvette run. There were two employees when we arrived and they handled our little crowd with ease. I ordered a hot fudge sundae, oh so good and too much to finish. And that was a small size. Cute little place. No indoor seating currently. But it's for sale! 2.5m I read somewhere. SD is definitely worth the drive to Hanford anytime.

Many times have my friends and I enjoyed the plethora of delightful offerings of Superior Dairy. Whoever acquires this business will, I believe, have secured a very wise investment!

Really sucks you can't sit and eat ice cream. This is a popular spot so there was a line, but nothing unbearable. Ice cream comes in huge servings and was pretty good. I suggest trying a flavor before buying it because some can be hit or miss.

We swung through here on our way back from a trip to Tulare. We really wanted to eat lunch here, but they only do to go and we didn't wanna eat in our cars. So, we opted to just get ice cream here. There was a modest line of people at the counter but they were helped fairly quickly. I decided to order a single scoop of their pumpkin ice cream and the Mr got a single of the cookies n cream. They were very limited on their flavors but, did have a few sherbets for our nephew who's allergic to dairy. Ok, so I thought their prices were a little steep for a single scoop. Then I rec'd said single scoop and was deliriously glad I did not get a 2nd scoop!! Oh, my-lanta!! This was easily a pint of ice cream!! Delicious, silky smooth ice cream. I decided heck with it took a mega dose of insulin and walked across the street to sit on the auditorium steps and enjoy my sinful delight. My diabetic alert dog eye balled me with stark incredulity..but I reminded her I'd taken a shot. She still gave me mad side eye. I put aside a bit for her to sample later. I feel like if eggnog and pumpkin pie had a baby and tossed it in the deep freeze, this is what would result. I was in heaven. This belief was seconded by the afore mentioned pupper who rolled her eyes back into her head and licked the little cup clean. I'm pretty sure she managed to even lick the scent off the Styrofoam. This is a bit out of our for it to be a reguakr thing..but if we are ever out this way, we will certainly stop off again!

You'd better come hungry. Superior's "brand" is enormous scoops. The ice cream itself is good but not the best on the planet, and the flavors are limited - but you go for the novelty of the size. The ambience is a little unfriendly since COVID - large "Do Not Sit" signs on the counters, seating blocked off, and not allowing inside eating even when the weather is over 100 degrees. The reason given is that they can't hire enough staff, but there could be other ways to accommodate customers, like stand-up tables and/or counter ordering. They're risking alienating long -term customers. But, hey, it's still fun. We live in a nearby town and sent some of our granddaughter's visiting softball team to the "local legend." They weren't disappointed. Tip - 2 scoops to share are WAY less expensive than 2 single scoops.
